Marda, in January 1997 someone named Stewart (I think he was original owner of GW) posted that it was "statistical fact" that less than 5% of visitors posted 50 to 75% of messages...that it was a fair conclusion that "It was more and more personal exchanges between a few dozen users" Now I want to emphasize this is definitely taken out of context ...I don't have notes on what drew Stewart out from behind the scenes...but I think there was some brouhaha and he was backing up Spike in some way. but I found it so interesting I made a note. Also made a note that Spike posted that in that same month (January 1997) 1500 people a day were accessing GW. Isn't that amazing...how we've grown! Would love to know the figures for today's GW and particularly the GP but I'd bet the 5% figure is still pretty accurate. Sorry to go off on a tangent here, Oaklief... your quotes were great. Don't have to worry about hibernating here......was only 53 degrees this morning and it only going in the mid seventies today! Fall is sneaking in the back door, the sun plays different on the flowers, the air has a certain "smell" to it, the hummers are feeding more as if getting ready for their journey home....so many different little things but mostly it is that "feeling" that change is coming.
