How to treat the pond for ick?

I have lost a fish and looks like another on the way. For them to have survived all winter and then die in the first few nice days is sad. The pond did freze over several times for several days before I had access to hot water to keep the hole open, (lost power). Im am sure this stressed them out. I just got the pond back up and the pump and filter running yesterday, I noticed the sick fish before the pond was thawed. These are Gold Fish in several varities and various sizes. I believe this is ick, a few have that "salted" look to their fins. Can I find something at PetSart to treat the pond? Can the surviving fish waite until I can order somethng from Drs Foster and Smith? I just don't know if those teen age kids at a PetSart would have a clue as to what I need. The pond is 550 gals with 2 waterfalls the birds bathe in so it has to be safe for them too. What is the best treatment and should I do extra partial water changes until it can be treated? I have well water. Thanks!
