Need advice re: settlement chambers and pumps.

Hi,

Last summer, I build a 35 x 25 x 4 pond at about 8,500 gallons.

It has an aerated bottom drain installed and an exit stream that will lead to a skimmer.

For certain reasons, since building it last year, I completely stopped and I've since forgot all of the great advice I got re: pump selections, settlement chambers and microscreens, etc. that I got from helpful ponders such as MikeIL, Surfhead, and others.

I would like to use an external D. Lim pump for the bottom drain and a separate D. Lim pump for the skimmer. I will have the bottom drain lead directly to the settlement chamber, but I would like the skimmer to be pumped also to the same settlement chamber.

I guess the first question would be: can, with a microscreen, I have both the water comming from the bottom drain and from the skimmer go into the same settlement chamber?

I have some more questions, but I'll start with this one. Thanks a lot.
