I don't know because they're still blooming and I've never grown them before. They are all very different though. Some have branched out and are covered in 15 or more buds at a time. Others are skinny and blooming 1-2 flowers at a time. Thanks Vera and Bakemom for the ID. For what it's worth it actually looks like a brown eyed susan. The middles are very brown and they are smooth, not fuzzy. I thought it was some kind of daisy because I also ws'd fulgida goldsturm and they haven't bloomed but the foliage is very different. Luckily I just happened to place one on each side of an ecinachea so it should look nice.

Box elder grows in zones 3A to 8B so it is possible that this might grow in your area. Check searches using Acer negrundo. Box elder is listed as susceptible to Verticillium wilt and sensitive to pests/diseases.
