Eric - your garden is just beautiful! I loved all the pictures but Funny Face jumped out at me - I like the unusual roses and that is one beauty! Love the front walkway picture with the roses on either side as well - so welcoming. Thanks for sharing your garden with us.

Hello Eric; your garden is really coming along beautifully. My Funny Face died back to the ground this year; first time ever, but it got so cold here this past winter. FF is a prime JB target in my garden; they torment her to death.

I love Caroline Testout; I'll have to think about adding her. It seems to me that when the tree fell that it opened up a lot of sun and space for you; am I right?

Looking great, my friend. I'm jealous; no rose blooms here yet....just lots and lots of rain. Still waiting!

Liked a number of the seedlings in your prior posts, but just don't have much time right now to post alot. No 1 I like. Could you imagine what the pattern would be like on a cream to white background? 8-) No 2 is different also. Are these first year blooms? If not how's the scape and BC on those first 2? Were just starting to get bloom in the seedling patch now and out of probably 60 blooms so far only 1 good Diploid seedling. Very few nice faces so far, but the scapes and/or BC on them are a sorry site. We keep running down back every morning looking for that pot of gold, but alas only to find dog after dog. LOL Hopefully all the dogs are blooming first and the good stuff is just around the corner. *-)

I love your girls. Your new bed is really looking good, I like your gazing ball. We're getting those temps & humidity back here this week too. My daylilies are on their way out :( I am seeing some rebloom scapes coming out though, would probably be better if we got a good rain. It was so sad a week or so ago when we were getting 95-98 degrees. The daylilies looked so pretty in the morning but many would look like wet tissue paper at the end of the day. I felt like they looked if I stayed out very long, heat indexes were over 105 those days.

Lisadlu that's a good idea but I'm thinking they would need to be pretty thick bumpers and in more than one place or no? thanks jml yes it is exciting! I'll be watching for more pics of your progress too! :) Thanks Kathryn...I guess those aren't the best pics taken with my phone but you get the idea. Still a lot to do! I'm hoping that the hinge idea works out and I would probably still do bumpers too? Cheryl yes it is exciting. I just want the guys to keep going! I feel like there is so so much to do yet and I know I'm amongst several other projects going on at the same time. I agree hinges and bumpers...both will give me Peace of mind :)

Thanks everyone for your comments! Not only is the bathroom no longer a dark hole, but even the back of the house/bedrooms feel lighter because of light emitted when you walk past it! It was certainly educational, my hat is off to everyone who undertakes this endeavor.

Thanks Terry! I understand about the rain, those roses will be well watered.

I think it may have opened up some sunlight. The tree was dead, so not a lot of shade.

Wow, your garden is gorgeous! I get up every morning and check out this site before I go to work and I love to see new, beautiful pictures. You're an inspiration ..... I just started my rose garden last July and I have a long way to go.

Thank you Tina. I'm glad you enjoyed them. That would be a nice way to start the day...looking at rose pics :) You will learn a lot here, as I did (and I'm still learning).

Thank you Carol! All the rain this Spring has primed everything for growth. Now it's starting to get warmer, so all that nitrogen should start working...then stand back! :)
