New type of Phemeranthus species? Or is Flora of N.A. wrong?

I found a type of Phemeranthus species here and I narrowed it down to Phemeranthus calcaricus or Phemeranthus mengesii. But here is the problem figuring out which one it is, (it's kind of bugging me, I would love to know the exact species):

I counted every stamen on three flowers from this wild Phemeranthus species, two flowers had 64 stamens and one flower had 67 stamens. It has seed capsules that are subglobose, sometimes trigonous, also its petals are 11 to 12mm long. All three of these things would line up with Phemeranthus mengesii.

BUT it also has persistent sepals and the stigma is distinctly 3-lobed, this would line up with Phemeranthus calcaricus.

So what would this mystery Phemeranthus species be? Got any botany experts on here? I'm thinking either Flora of North America is wrong about these species, or it's a new subspecies or hybrid. This Phemeranthus sp. was found on a sandstone outcrop far out in the forest.
