Can I safely add 2 low voltage lights?

One more reason to kick my contractor in his jiblets :(

I had two submersible lights that I asked my contractor to install. He put them in and ran the wire through the pond wall to the low voltage box. I asked him to run two extra sets of wire through as well so that I could add more lights in the future if I wanted to. Well he didn't and I didn't check and this is like the third thing on the list he should fix and he isn't returning calls grrrr.

Soooo what I am wondering is if I can splice off of one of the existing lights and run the wire about 15ft to set up another? The voltage transformer that the lights plug in to says not to do this....but I know that many times this can be fudged. They just don't want to be sued when someone does what the Dad in the movie "A Christmas Story" did with the xmas tree lights.

What do you think? What would be the worse case scenario? A blown transformer? Dead lights? Dead fish? Dead AZponder?
