Small bush plant spreading...?

I don't know what this is and don't mind it having the space as ground cover assuming it isn't some horribly invasive plant that I'll never be able to get rid of. I have wild clematis that has done a good job of doing that. In any event, small bushes that are an attractive green. I don't know about blooms. It appears to be spreading. The way the leaves are arranged it reminds me of the BP logo. They are neither strictly alternate nor strictly opposite but vary. The nursery a couple blocks away was unable to ID it, but ruled out any balm because the stalk is round.

See the picture of the first unknown plant here: http://2009veggiegarden.blogspot.com/2009/06/some-unknown-plants.html

I couldn't get under 60kb @ 640x480, the lowest setting on my camera.

Here is a link that might be useful: Unknown Plants.
