New Orchid grower questions

Hi,

I am new to orchids. My first one died after the flowers fell off. I read up and now I have two. I have them in a water tray with pebbles. They are looking very healthy, one is growing a new leaf. When I got them they were both in bloom. All the flowers fell off the first one, so I did what the website said and cut the stem about 1 inch above the third nodule. I don't see anything happening yet, but this is the one that is growing a new leaf. The other one has one flower left. Here is my question. The one with one flower left, the first and second nodules after the ones that had flowers are swelling up and look like they might be growing. Should I still cut the top off when the flower falls? I don't know it may be starting to bloom again already? Has this ever happened to you? What do you think I should do?

Thanks

Rhonda
