Sounds like you can't do much about it anyway at this point!
You don't say how big your pond is, but I think 1 dead frog :( isn't going to poison the pond. Especially if you have the heater to keep a hole open for gas axchange.
Last spring I found a dead frog when cleaning plants in the spring, must have died sometime during the winter. no problem.

If you can't remove it, do it when you can. Sometimes you have to...let go, and let...Mother Nature.

A few weeks with a dead frog won't hurt the fish. You may find more at the bottom when you clean the pond up. Good luck.

So far, the fish don't seem to mind the dead frog. I think I am more disgusted with the dead frog than the fish to be honest.

Sheepco, my pond is about 2 feet deep and around 5 feet wide...not sure how much water that would be, but someone once said that it is about 1000 gallons.

231 cubic inches per gallon.

So 60 X 60 X 24= 86400/231 = 375 this is a square pond not round.

You need to figure in pie for a round pond.

The only pie I am think about right now is the apple one smothered in vanilla ice cream on the table downstairs.

My 5' round 28" deep 'pond' is a 300ga stock tank.

Some frogs can literally freeze solid and be covered in ice and revive in the spring. Unless the white stuff is fungus or bacteria infested dead skin, it might still be alive.

Wood frogs can survive freezing temperatures down to 19 degrees below zero CENTIGRADE. But they CANNOT freeze solid and they do NOT hibernate in water. They hibernate in old logs or piles of leaves in the forest.

I think the frog is dead then. It's got white fungus growing on its mouth area and back legs. I don't understand why they keep on moving into my pond in the summer and then dying in the winter. Wish I could keep them out for good because nothing is more unpleasant in a pond in the spring than dead frogs.

Although I've NOT tried this myself, I remember someone posting on this forum that sinking some folded-up quilt batting by weighting it with a rock or two will increase chances of frogs surviving winter. Of course the quilt batting needs to be in an area of pond(deep enough) where the water doesn't freeze. The frogs supposedly hibernate between the layers of batting.
After a long period of freezing temps, then a recent warm spell, I found a few dead frogs as well as some live ones who thought it was already spring. (False alarm- it's cold again!) Fish(mostly koi) made it through the winter. Pond is @ 40 in. deep in very center.

Face the facts , its DEAD . I just scooped about 4 dead frogs and a mess of small goldfish from one of my 7 ponds . As long as the water is still cold you dont have to worry about pollution . The bacteria wont start to rise until the water temps get somewhere in the 50's . You have plenty of time to remove all the dead stuff . Rick

That quilt batting idea sounds interesting Ronnie. I'll consider it in the fall. Since I can't seem to keep the frogs away from my pond, I am also thinking about putting a bucket of mud in the pond, laying on its side, in the fall for the frogs to hibernate.

Rick, it is only 10 degrees celcius here today, so the water is still cold enough to not cause pollution with the dead frog I think. I am hoping to fish out the dead frog tomorrow if it does rain non stop. I really don't want my fish to sicken and die on me.
