Is this a large or small plant? The whorled leaves remind me of Galium.

Not sure if you can tell from the photo, but it's very small (about 4 or 5 inches high) and bright green.

I planted strawberries in a windowbox this year just to see what would happen. They were just the ordinary Ozark everbearing type bought on impulse at HD. They are thriving and producing tons of berries. The runners drape down over the box and have berries too. Very charming. I asked on the fruit forum and they advised these plants would produce for approx 3 years before they needed to be replaced. In my zone overwintering will be a problem--probably not in yours.

I would say alot of places are good for them, the ties are old and rotten out so theres alot of voids. I know lizards live inside them and i have seen other bugs as well. I really dont want to fill in the cracks with silicone or anything like that as it will just look ugly. At this point new cracks and voids arent too common, unless more of the wood rots and forms new voids and cracks. It appears they nest between the ties, they crawl in about 2' from the soil so i take it they are living in the ties and not the soil. its hard to tell though.

Cuphaea hyssopifolia. I rather doubt it will overwinter for you. It is rated UK zone 1c which means is can only be reliably grown outdoors in our summers although some people are experimenting with it in mild areas.

No, It comes back every year, to it makes me think its some kind of Disease.. The front is perfect as you who know me on here have seen in the past, Idk, its a Hot mess back there :/ I am going to Aerate my front lawn soon in a few weeks and then my back lawn after my front...one yr I did the back lawn and it looks decent that summer...so idk Thank you :)

Whether it's worth keeping is a matter for you to decide. You say it comes back every year so you must have some idea of whether you like it or not by now. Lots of people DO like it, especially those who are interested in herbs. It is also a useful plant in that it tolerates some shade and is unfussy.
