I really need your advice..............

Well, the pond has completely thawed and I can see into the water.

There are leaves, algae, silt, and looks just awful. But it is clear! I know that bacteria and stuff don't start to grow until the water is in the 50's and that's why its clear.

My question is should I net out the leaves NOW? I've taken some out but there are little creatures in them and I threw them back into the pond. I'd like to clean up the dead roots and I don't know what I'm harming or if I am introducing bad things into the water. Silt and stuff float all over the water if I disburb anything. I don't want to harm my 40+ goldfish.

WHAT DO I DO!!??????? (this is my second spring)
