(Tobago, Trinidad & Tobago) Garden placement: Shade to sunny Plant height up to around 18" Leaves: Alternate, thin fan shaped (similar to Iris) Flowers : small white flowers grow in curled bunches at end of stems. Flowering starts at commencement of rainy season (June/July) long flowering. Propagation: Ariel stolons

diggerdee, my AM still looks just as in the picture. But, it gets only afternoon sun, and this has been a very cool summer. Perhaps that's part of the difference? a2zmom - do you mean the red lily with the black background? It is an Asiatic lily but unfortunately I don't know the name. It was labeled "Royal Dream" but RD is white so obviously it was mis-labeled. Bummer. I can try to find it again at our garden center to see if I can find its name. tiffy - do you mean the light blue that flops all over? That is Nepeta Walker's Low. It flops but I think it flops nicely, LOL. DH gets annoyed when he is trying to mow but it doesn't seem to mind having its ends cut off! Bonnie - unfortunately no, the hibiscus will not be hardy. I might try keeping it indoors this winter and see how it does. Glad you all like the pictures! Ann

Sandy, No, I don't think it can - I think cold-hardy Sedums need that cold to live, but I could be wrong. Almost all of my Sedums are cold-hardy and are in the ground up here - the Sedums I grew in San Diego (non-cold-hardy) have to be brought inside for the winter, so I'm guessing there's a reason that particular Sedum is cold-hardy, because it needs to be. But once again, it's just a guess.

Its not about expensive gifts...in fact I dont like to buy anything, I enjoy making things or sharing things that I have in abundance that I think others can use. I would not want anyone to send me expensive gifts that would embarrass me. Plants, seeds, cuttings garden related things. When we start purchasing non garden related items and it comes from walmart or a dime store, I feel the spirit is compromised and I dont shop or buy from those places because I sont want to support the large box stores that are of no use in my life. I recently discovered that after harvesting garlic grown organicly that I was accused of sending OLD moldy garlic. NOt only was my heart broken, I sensed the spirit of gift giving was an expectation to shop at walmart and sent each other cheap plastic gifts which I have no use for in my home. I'd rather not support something that I dont believe in. This may insult many, I am sorry, but hand painted cards, cuttings, pillows made of pine needles...thats what Iam about, I may pass along antique memoriabilia that I have laying around the house in hopes that someone would get a smile going back to memory lane with it. I may even send something that was given to me but I have no use for it and I just felt it would be better suited as a gift to someone else. Please count me out when it comes to supporting items made by 3rd world countries and the people who made them were abused and not paid well. Most people dont care, but being responsible for what you purchase makes a difference in someones life other than you and me, I am trying to be responsible and not support products that come from companies that are unkind to the people who manufactor it. Ignoring that doesnt make it stop and it doesnt make it alright. I really enjoy round robins, I guess I should start a new one and call it Organic Round Robin or Handmade or from the earth Only. If I offended anyone, I apologize again, and thank you for allowing me to be in this round robin, but I believe that I am just not mainstream enough to participate.
