Orderly Mother Nature

We were at the fringes of a thundersorm yesterday evening, just windy for about 5 minutes and rain for 10. When I went outside to see if I maybe could spot a rainbow, I noticed that one of my flowerboxes on the front stoop railing had been blown off, laying upside down in the grass. It was the most sheltered one of the 4 (one on each side, two straight across). I salvaged as much as I could and replanted the box, but it sure looked funny, 3 lush boxes and one looking really bedragled.

Shortly after midnight we had a repeat of the evening scenario, same duration, same direction. This morning when I got out, you guessed it, the box on the other side was on the ground.

We had much stronger winds which did not affect the flowers and the doormat which takes of if a butterfly comes by, stayed put. Now I have 2 great looking boxes and two I guess I have to find something else for.
