Backyard Chickens

I did not see a forum for this topic, but maybe organic gardening is a place to post. Mostly, I was wondering if there is a forum where topics regarding backyard chickens could be discussed.

I know that this is the "garden web" but in my yard, the 4 hens are definitely part of the garden. They eat kitchen scraps, weeds, slugs, bugs, and make eggs and chicken manure that then goes into compost for my vegetables. The crushed eggshells go into the garden too, in place of lime for tomatoes and figs. For us, this is part of living by nature's cycles, and at least in this yard, they are organic.

Im not taking dozens of chickens, we only have 4. Three lay eggs every day, one is a slacker who mostly lays thinshell eggs and then not often.

This isnt out in the countryside, either- we live in a suberb in a metropolitan area. They are very entertaining.

I did do a search on gardenweb on chickens and came up blank.

I wonder, is there a forum that I missed?
