Name That Plant!

Flowering bush ID

I had this plant for a few years (it froze to death this winter in zone 7). It's a sizeable bush with clusters of deep red flowers and rather large thorns along the branches.

Unfortunatly, my brain seized to function and all I can remember about the name that it had some "seafood" in it :o)

You know lobster or shrimp or something claw... Help me...

If the location is western North American USDA Zone 8 then P. lewisii is likely. (Posting where plants are being seen is always a good idea).
