I don't want to discourage anyone but we can all benefit from using a bit of common sense.

And these are the fruit, not flowers. As you state there are white flowers earlier in the year. After flowers come fruit, not more flowers.

I grow mine as an edging to a paver path.Or I really should say they choose to grow... They are three different varieties here, white, purple, purple/white bicolor. They can get very, VERY out of hand. They seed everywhere here. In beds, cracks, lawn, pots, piles of dust! LOL But I love them and they really are beautiful in the spring when blooming. Chaz

Definitely not Society Garlic. The blooms are much smaller than those of Dietes. The blooms are about 1" diameter, star-like, individual (not a tight cluster) at the end of short stems (3-4", approx) attached to the top of taller stems rising from the base of the plant. It's in a residential neighborhood, at the edge of the sidewalk facing west. It would likely get plenty of sun exposure after noon. I've considered taking my phone to get a photo, but I want to be free from my phone during my morning walk. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet with pretty gardens. Carrying even a small camera on a 3-4 mile walk would be a nuisance to me.
