Name That Plant!

need help identifying plants please!

Hi, can anyone help me identify some plants? I have attached a picture with 6 flowering plants in it, all of which have flowered in the past month or so.

I moved to a new house 6 weeks ago; I have a 1.5 year old who is extremely inquisitive, and tends to investigate plants; and I don't want him chewing anything poisonous. I am learning slowly about gardening and really enjoy it, but I have not yet learned to identify things, and although I'm pretty sure i know what a couple of these are, I just want to be sure so I don't end up with a poorly child.

I think aquilegia seeds are poisonous, so I sadly think I might have to dig these up. I was concerned about number 1 too though - so hope someone can help me with that!

Flora - you are good!! I think the first (#2) is actually a young Myrica californica and #7 is dwarf escallonia. And to be precise, the first plant is Osmanthus heterophylla 'Goshiki'.

I planted ranunculus and gladioli which I have easily identified, as well as gypsophila, crocosmia, freesia, echinacea and one more that I can't remember the name of. I thought number 1 might be some sort of tree, there's a couple dotted about the garden.

I believe #1 is correct. #2 looks like a strawberry. #3 could be vinca or wintercreeper. I suspect it's the latter because the stems look pretty thick.

I would not worry about the columbine seeds - you can easily deadhead the plant after flowering and get rid of the seeds that way.
