how to kill this weed?
Comments (19)Well, i would not suggest any chemical fertilizers for to get rid of weed. Since the purpose of these products is to kill pests, you can bet that many of them have ingredients in them that are also harmful to humans. For example, the active ingredient in Round-UpÂa weed-killer popular with gardenersÂis known to cause kidney damage and reproductive harm in mice. And cypermethrin, one of the active ingredients in the popular ant and roach-killer Raid, is a known eye, skin and respiratory irritant and has negative effects on the central nervous system. Comments (14)Also for weeds in areas like walks and gravel paths...1 gallon of white vinegar 2 cups Epsom salts 1/4 cup of dawn blue liquid soap. mix well in a canister sprayer spray early morning weeds deed by night. also on large areas like driveways buy a torch from home depot or the place I linked below along with a propane tank like you use on your outdoor grille and just burn them away. Roundup is just a terrible terrible product!!! Highly toxic kills wildlife causes illness such as cancer to humans, pets and woodland creatures. Get into into the water table. https://jet.com/product/65a277740865404bb94361416de71a4a?jcmp=pla--ggl--home_garden_other--lighting_tiki_torches_oil_lamps_other--.--.--.--.--.--2&code=PLA15&k_clickid=ac203f78-ba5d-43af-9925-0231c8a37b3b&kpid=65a277740865404bb94361416de71a4a&gclid=CPf_3eWqqccCFckYHwodVfwLIQ...See MoreHow do I kill weeds without killing the weeds I want to keep?
Comments (1)Best way--and hardest work--is to just keep pulling the bermuda grass out. Water well, then start pulling when the soil firms and water has soaked in a bit. There are a number of herbicides that target grasses, however few of them have labels for flower beds. In some cases, the grass herbicides will also have some activity against certain broadleaves, so if you go off-label and just try something, you might get a few of your flowers as well. You might look at Preen in a small area as it is recommended for grasses, but don't know what it may do to the plants you want....See MoreHere's the mimosa type weed from my yard - can you ID it?
Comments (4)Marti, this pops up everywhere around here and I see it along the roads and highways now At one time I think Janie told us what it was, but she called a ditch something ( maybe not nice) I never let them go to seed because I can't dig them out but they still end up everywhere, even hanging baskets...See Morecarolb_w_fl_coastal_9b
