Those are great still, good capture. Hey, I tilted my head but didn't see the man on the moon... sigh.... LOL... It was a clear but cold night here. I was trying to see it from my windows but no sight of it, too many trees :(. It's supposed to happen 3 more times in the next 6 months. I'll be ready with my camera next time... hopefully. I remembered as a child, we used to lay on top of military jeep's hood to watch the eclipses. Lunar eclipse wasn't a rare sight for us at that end of the world. We lived far from city lights and we could see the sky from one end to the other.

Thanks Patty! Will check into it! Love the star drapped sky, the moon.......I did smell rose fragrance in the air, have to find out which one........will report it back the rose name...... I think the fragrant roses are Intrigue and Miss All American Beauty. Beautiful scent! :-) If I see more these roses at Walmart next year, I'd buy them all! Miss All American Beauty was from Walmart, Intrigue roses were from Breck's bargain sales-5 for $19.99.

Lucky for us, it was the perfect night to view the eclipse and the big Harvest Moon. I'd made chili, and we had a late dinner of it out on our back portal while we enjoyed the "show". We spend hours out there just talking and watching the eclipse unfold. At one point, DH went in and made us Cuba Libres. It was a wonderful, very special way to spend the evening. Will try again in, what, 33 more years?

Over the course of the next 57 minutes, the Moon will dim as it travels through the penumbra. Then, at 7:33 p.m. PT / 10:33 p.m. ET, the Moon will reach the umbra, at which point it will become significantly darker. By 8:41 p.m. PT / 11:41 p.m. ET, the Moon will be all the way inside the umbra, and that’s when the eclipse truly begins. The best view will occur at 9:12 p.m. PT / 12:12 a.m. ET. " Hopefully the sky will be clear for you. The moon was beautiful this morning. It had a giant halo around it.
