I came across this quote by accident and had not planned on using it, but I know from just "life" how important it is to reach out and touch those people who are important to you. It's something many of us mean to do, but tend to put off until we have the time. That's a pitiful mistake you can live with the rest of your life. I try to do it now, even if it means scheduling it and making a note on a list to remind me.

Suzy, Your quote reminds me of a wonderful neighbor I had in St. Louis. At the end of her life, she had inoperable cancer & chose not to have any chemo or radiation, but to die in her own way. Over the last months of her life she systematically saw all of her close friends, said good-bye and gave them specially chosen keepsakes to remember her by.

I think her gesture was really important to her friends. However, even more important is to is to keep up with your friends & family while you're hale & healthy. Too many of us get engrossed in the busy trivialities of everyday living and forget to do that.

The night before my grandmother passed away she called everyone of her friends and told them good-bye. She was living with us so I heard every call...............
