Salvia?

Salvia doesn't quite fit. This is a wildflower that is abundent along a mountain creek in S. West Virginia

Do you have a photo of the plant's overall habit?

Dracocephalum?

Scutellaria of some sort I would guess.

I don't really have any photos that provide more context. These flowers were in scattered patches and there were a lot of them. Others plants from the area are Trillium that were out of bloom for about two weeks. There was a Putty Root in full bloom. Lots of nettles, Violets, Dwarf Larkspur in season and others. Dracocephalum has similar flowers but the leaves are lanceolate and these are more heart shaped. Here is another photo that shows leaves better. Thanks for the help,

If there is a raised ridge on the calyx, then Scutellaria fits. If the ridge is absent, then there is a very good chance that it is Dracocephalum.

Found more of these at another location and finally got a positive ID? It seems to. Be uncommon, but plentiful when you find a location. It is Meehans Mint, here is the USDA link. Thanks for the help.

Here it is in my garden. I bought the plant from Sunlight Gardens a few years ago.

You did, and I appreciate it. You can see from this thread everything that was suggested but none fit just right. But, I had no idea. Even after your positive id, it was not found in any of the popular references. Thanks again,
