Numerous Plants to ID Please

Weed or no? It started out very small and now its taking over a few other of my known plants.

1)

This is sprouting where I planted something last year. And I do not remember what it was or if the plant is supposed to be the purple flowering (possible weed) plant next to it.

A couple weeks ago I purchased numerous plants off of a lady who was posting on craigslist. As we were walking around her yard and I was picking out plants, she told me what they were but I had nothing to label them with.

Here are the possible choices :

daylilies, coreopsis, lamb's ear, goat's beard, ladies mantle, purple and white speckled violets, black-eye Susans, coneflowers (white and pink), scabiosa, candy tuft, orange poppy, lemon balm, liriopi, pompas grass, red raspberry bushes

I am hoping to get as many IDs as possible. Then I can print out the photos, with the names to the plants and put them in my garden organizer (not yet made lol) :)

1.) Purple Dead-nettle (Lamium purpureum)

5.) Coneflower (Echinacea sp.)

7.) Hosta in the back, ?? in the front

10.) Lamb's Ear (Stachys byzantina)
11.) Coneflower (Echinacea sp.) - purple or white will be obvious when they bloom

1 Lamium, a weed
2 ?
3 It could be Coreopsis Moonbeam
4 Campanula - you'll want to dig this one out right away, very weedy and extremely deep rooted
5 Echinacea, Coneflower
6 Viola
7 Veronicastrum, Culver's Root (nice!)
8 Could be Goat's Beard, more likely Herb Robert
9 Lily?
10 Stachys byzantium, Lamb's Ear
11 Echinacea, Coneflower
12 Asclepias, Milkweed
13 Liriope, Lilyturf

The ones I've listed as Echinacea could also be Rudbeckia, they're very similar and frankly confusing to me when not in flower. Perhaps someone else can give you more details, or you'll find out for sure when they bloom.

The leafy one looks like a Senecio. If it has a yello daisy like flower, it is. The spikes one is a Deuterochonia, previously called Abrometiella. Mir is Avery spikey bromeliad, and grows like a succulent rather than like the soft leaved bromeliads.

That is not a Coffee plant. It looks like a Shooting Star Clerodendron.

Cardamine bulbosa, or similar. But that's just a guess. It really needs a shot of the leaves to lock down the ID.

Really number 4 is Campanula and a weed?!?!
This is one of the plants that I purchased from a ladies garden and all of the ones I picked, she dug out for me, had an explanation for them, and had lots of each plant. Could it be something else that is similar?

Anyone know any of the others?

I agree about #4--if it is Campanula glomerata, it will spread and when you try to dig it out, each piece of root you miss will turn into a new plant! I gave up on trying to get rid of it.

#9--maybe goldenrod? If so, it will also send runners everywhere.

One reason the woman's garden had lots of each--they multiply rapidly enough that she has plenty to share! :-) I learned that lesson the hard way, too.

Ok, I am just a little confused here.
Is the Campanula you are referring to an actual weed?
When I googled the name and looked at the images, it looked like a pretty purple/blue flower and the information said perennial. Are there different types? Or they are a perennial and spread rapidly?

Christie, a weed is a plant growing where you don't want it :-)

Yes, it is a perennial that can spread rapidly. Here is a photo from a spot in my garden where I cannot get rid of them.

I think they look beautiful! Since they spread easily and I just put the little plant in, I will relocate it to a place where it can spread and not take over my whole garden bed around my house. Thanks
