Full StoryI have a rather nice sized collection of both Angraecum and Aerangis. Most are mounted, some are potted. Since these are a rather new species for me, I'm anxious to hear from others who have more experience in growing these.
Some are growing nicely, some appear to be rather slow growers. So far Aerangis citrata bloomed for me - flowers were to small for my taste, same with Aerangis fastuosa.
I think I prefer the larger flowered Angraecum.
I have (2) Angraecum leonis. One potted, One mounted. The mounted one might be getting to much light, as the leaves are turning yellow. The potted one has started a new leaf, but it doesn't appear to be growing any further.
Angraecum didieri was nice, but again the flower was to small for my liking.
I have a Angraecum sesquipedale in a 4-inch pot. The grower says it will bloom in a year. It appears to be a slow grower.
Is anyone growing any of these Angraecum currently?
I also have (3) Angraecum longiscott which I am very anxious to bloom. In addition, I have one Angraecum scottianum, mounted, which is also yellowing, yet I read it requires bright light.
If you have experience with these two I would enjoy hearing from you.
Thanks.
