Hangman #2

Assuming eveyone is familiar with the game, I'll just state 3 rules:

#1: Only 1 game at a time

#2: The winner can start new game

#3: List available letters, marking a dash - for the ones that have already been guessed correctly. If a letter is guessed incorrectly, put that letter in teh () beside the appropriate hangman body part listed underneath. This rule will make more sense after looking at my first puzzle.

Mwheel, it's actually sort of a joke. When we purchased the property in the late seventies, undeveloped, this oak was sort of a totem already, not near as tall, but substantial. From the trunk stuck out a dead branch that reminded us of the old Westerns, when the ranchers caught the rustler , sat him on a horse, his neck in the noose, slapped the horse, it took off and he dangled. That dead branch was just about that height, so we named the tree the Hangman's tree. Tree is much taller and the dead branch has fallen off, but the name sticks.

Hi Martin, Overall, how did the in-ground HC fair this year? I know you had the tree pretty much buried in snow last year which could have insulated it pretty well. How much of the main trunks make it through the winter. Obviously you got some fruit, but did you get as much as the potted HC gave you? One more question, how did the inground figs taste in comparison to the potted HC? It's good to see your posts. Hope your turkey day went well.
