what is it? photos

this is growing underneath my forsythias. Looks like lettuce but I'll bet it's a weed. That's usually what I find. anybody? thanks

Perhaps rhubarb. The stalk in picture 3 especially makes me think so. The leaf looks young so leave the plant for a while and it will tell you for certain which it is. (Identification is harder with young plants/leaves rather than the mature ones.)

Yes, catnip. It looks different because it's been growing strong(and potent)outside in the elements. That's why your cat likes it...the essential oils are stronger. Your purchased plant will eventually have the same look and smell.

I am guessing that your monitors are not calibrated and I have no access to the picture so...there is no way to really tell you how your picture will look like. Not to sound like a jerk but spend the 15 cents and get it printed. Since it is a screen shot I am pretty sure the picture is lacking the DPI to really go any larger than the 4x6.

Rumex obtusifolius, Broadleaf Dock.

From Wikipedia: Rumex obtusifolius is easily recognizable by its very large leaves, some of the lower leaves having red stems.
