Thanks, I did post a second picture but I am not sure what it is that you need for a better look. I only have a camera on my cellphone and if I get any closer, it gets very blurry. Did you need a close up of the stems or something else?

It is spurge. I appreciate it every spring because it shows up right outside of the window by our ground telephone line long before it is comfortable to work outside in the garden. This year we were in Severe Drought on August 2 when we left home for three weeks in the Pacific Northwest visiting daughters. I chopped down all the dead and dying stuff in the bed under aforesaid window. When we came home we found that 2+ inches of rain had fallen while we were gone and the lovely bluegreen foliage of the spurge is freshening things up. Won't show blooms and bracts until next spring. I don't think the 1st is Campanula persicifolia, but I don't recognize what it is. Agree that bottom is shasta daisy (w/ strawberry plant mixed in). The frilly seedling on bottom right could be nigella.... could also be cosmos, dill... too hard to tell from the photo.

You are lucky to have inherited a garden of some worth and smart to give every thing a year. "Well behaved" could mean anything but with plants it often implies "stays in its place" i.e., not a rampant seeder or spreader. That huge polymorpha is like nothing else....you might consider giving it just one extra year, because it is one cool plant. I have a stand of it and fortunately it is only after winter snows that it lies down. It does have a bad smell when newly in bloom and downwind of it. But I'll give it a pass on that shortcoming....
