Lovely Balsam, there. I haven't seen that color before amongst my Balsams- very nice. To keep it blooming, you'll want to pinch off its seed pods, but I do recommend letting some of the seed pods develop eventually and then saving the seed. The seed pods are 'explosive' like those of many other Impatiens... Unless you live in an extreme climate, you should be able to plant some seeds outdoors in the garden, if you have one. Four O'clocks don't necessarily bloom at four o'clock. They open after the direct sun starts to fade. On some cloudy days they stay open (mine do). Somewhere in the world years ago that was 4:00 and so the name stuck. Like Ken said save seeds so you can replant in the spring if you're in a colder climate rather then try to dig up roots. I'm in zone 5 and we replant every year or hope it reseeds. Heidi
