Hey friends, Stuck in a predicament. Can you help?

I don't know what to do. What would you do?

I have an orchid that pretty much as lost all it's potted roots due to poor care in the past but managed to have half healthy roots that have stayed above the pot.

How would you pot it so that I can spray the aerial roots every day without worrying about the potted ones staying wet everytime I spray them even in a good size bark.

If I don't spray the aerial roots for a couple of days, then they dry severely. But if I do spray them, then they come back nice and green, but the mix underneath doesn't have a chance to dry out and please the potted ones, if that makes any sense:-(

I was thinking about using rocks in the pot and just setting the plant on those with and sticking what few good roots that are in the pot might be healthy in between the rocks? Where is the balance?

Thanks in advance!
