mostly celebrating success of overwinter/spring garden

allen11

This is my fifth year of gardening (fourth for overwinter since last year I was hospitalized with pneumonia in the late winter/early spring). I finally seem to have gotten the basics of overwinter/early spring down:

We're eating mache, miner's lettuce, and arugula that overwintered in the cold frame. Finally veggies that are alive!

Just about to plant out the lettuce and beets I started inside four weeks ago (seems just a mite too soon).

Will plant out the chard I started two weeks ago (a mite too late) in a week and a half.

Direct seeded turnips, beets, mucho greens, this past weekend.

Garlic is about two inches high and looks great.

Any refinements you all can suggest are welcome.

First problem issue this year is lots of signs of voles. Have been spraying fox urine. Other suggestions? Any value to trying to import snakes? How would I do it?
