I've been checking in often too!! I imagine Sylvia has had couple of uncomfortable days as swelling would happen after that kind of surgery so it should be getting better soon as I think they said she gets to get out of hospital after 4-5 days. It's been 4 days so hoping we hear good news by tomorrow. It's probably been hard on family these 4 days. Sylvia is a real trooper so doubt anything will keep her down long but when you can hardly eat & drink it kind of cramps your style for awhile most of us really enjoy those things!!!Praying for a great tomorrow for her & that food will look, smell & taste good again soon!!Jan

Well, it's the last day of March. Thanks to ALL of you for taking time out of the busy early spring season to send to Birthday Gals. As this is my first year as a serious gardener, I can honestly and truly say I've never had such a fun March. March is usually that in-between-nothing-to-do month. What a change this year! I know you all were just as busy or busier, especially ya'll in the warmer temps. So, again, thank you so much for taking time out to make our birthday ladies feel extra loved and special. And, I just mailed out my one birthday card today. Pretty sad for the host, huh?! Heres' to blue skies a-comin'! Deannna

Congrats on the grand baby, I can only imagine what a thrill it must be. If the day ever comes I will be Nana. My Mom was Nana to my kids and all her other grandchildren and my Grandmothers were both Nana to us. I just could never imagine another name. I have friends who seem to think that there needs to be a name distinction between maternal and paternal grandparents. Growing up that was never an issue with us. When with them we simply called them Nana. When referring to them we called them Nana O'Grady or Nana Woodcock. My Great Grandmothers were Gramma Marjoreen on my Mom's side and "Scottie" on my Dad's. To this day I have no idea what "Scottie's" real name was. Unfortunately there were no Grandads alive on my side so no idea what they would have been called. My husbands parents were Granny and Granddad to all their grandchildren.....nobody is calling me Granny! LOL
