Oncidium NOID... any guesses what it is?

I received this plant from a hobby grower in Memphis who could not get it to spike. I am think it is either a Gower's Ramesy or a Onc. Sweet Sugar or maybe some other Onc. sphacelatum hybrid. Any ideas on what this Onc. could be?

It seems to be growing well enough in my conditions but I would like to have the correct name on the label.

Greencurls, too many hybrids look like this, so in the absence of a tag your baby will always be unidentified. I will say the flowers look a bit oversized for Gower Ramsey, but that's about all that can be said.

Mine flower this time of the year, I have a purple hairy one in flower right now, it really smells, and the flies love it. I also have a large starfish type 14" flowers. Watch the watering, it likes it dry. Remove all previous years growth, start the new leaves only if you want flowers in the future. I live in So. CA so normally it is not freezing cold here, were are expected soon 20F in the next 10 ten days, this is early, the last temps got that low was 3 years ago. I have a feeling that we are going to have a very cold winter in Jan. and Feb.

You are so right, Natalie. This one will stay here, regardless of whether or not it has a name. I will think up something to call it, while still hoping to get a correct I.D. For a number of years, I had a NOID daylily which I just found out this year is Smoky Mountain Autumn. I was calling it Copper Peach, which I thought suited very well. Thanks for all the guesses/suggestions. I think I may have a tentative ID from a few other people I asked... the general consensus is it is a young Tokudama Flavocircinalis. THanks agian and I ill post photos as it matures so hopefully I can get a more definitive answer. Alexa

Another option for upper left is Rainforest Sunrise. Bottom right front could be Undulata Albomarginata. It's hard to tell with a hundred + white edged Hostas out there.

Looks like Gower Ramsey to me.

I am sure that it has similar parentage as the Gower's Ramsey. But the flowers are larger and the plant is smaller which is why I was thinking it could be a Sweet Sugar. I do not know much about Gower's Ramesy either. Possibly this is just a cultivar of it.

I was not aware of how popular this type of hybrid is. Maybe it will always be a NOID.
