Repotting new orchids etc

I have just got some orchids in the mail. They seem healthy but I have learnt from past experience to be wary of pests carried by strange orchids. The orchids will be kept indoors and I am paranoid about introducing mites/thrips to the orchids I already have. Also, the orchids which are all of the fine root kind (Miltonias etc), are potted in a mixture of moss and soil, which I thought was a no-no for orchids.

At another time of year, I would repot them in new media (all my other orchids are in Leca). However, I am worried about doing it now. Are there any recommendations as to what I should do? Repot with new bark? Switch to Leca now? Is a root drench with an insecticide/miticide a bad idea? If not, what product should I use?
