I have been so into lawns since 2008 and learning about them, so many things can go wrong, and it's something that def intrigues me, I might take some Horticulture classes here this winter not sure, Fyi I did that hole when this first all started I usually wait till fall and put down some sod pieces from local nursery like a puzzle but right now they are scattered and won't know where to start Lol How's your lawn doing??? you used two treatments thus far???...See MoreNeed advice on when to mow (new lawn)
Comments (4)Take the short stuff down to 2 and the tall stuff down to four. In a couple days take the tall stuff down to 3 and then maintain it all around 2 or 3 until it's well established. You're right don't fight the crabgrass this year it will die in winter and you can put a pre emergent down in march. I recommend oxadiazon wsp....See MoreMowing a newly established lawn
Comments (4)My lawn is 100% tall fescue and when I did my reno back in 2013 I mowed exactly 2 weeks after seeding with a zero turn. No damage at all to the grass. With that in mind I would suggest waiting another week for the KBG since it's just now germinating. That's one of the disadvantages to seeding with 3 different varieties of grass. When you do mow, make sure your blades are razor sharp. Dull blades will pull up some of the new grass....See Morerustyj14
