Help ID a wild plant from Washington State

bper

Please help me identify this plant found in the sagebrush steppe of Central Washington. This was taken in April before it bloomed and I did not see it in bloom. As you can see, it was growing among the rocks and was a lone plant of this type.

I cannot seem to locate the family this plants belong in. At first I thought it was a Stonecrop, but am pretty sure it is not, but believe it is a native wildflower. I have seen similiar ones in others dry areas of this state - bper
