They should grow more this year. They were busy getting settled in last year.

I live in southern maine and have 3 red and 3 golden ninebark.....the red ones are doing well....but the golden ones are like yours......they are in a wet area....that gets a good deal of sun. They end up looking dry and burned but it definately looks like a fungus or insect? problem....not sun burn. I was thinking of giving them a shot of miracle grow as a tonic.....I know its definately not organic...but sometimes it seems to help.

Hi Mary, I'm not familiar with this plant, but I did a bit of searching and it seems that it is easy to propagate from cuttings. Perhaps if you try to overwinter it indoors, you can take a few cuttings in case the original plant doesn't make it. Personally, I don't do well with overwintering plants indoors, so I rarely do it. Maybe you have better luck. I guess if it's going to die outside anyway, you have nothing to lose by bringing it in, right? Good luck! :) Dee
