I think #3 is a Curcuma (Siam Tulip) and Remy's Draba is for #2

#1 reminds me of duckweed.

Let's see; Odontonema looks about right; so does Draba, which is pretty amazing; the only Draba I knew about was the little white lawn weed.

#3 might be Curcuma, but all the pictures I see have big cupped out bracts (?), and none of these flowers did.

And I don't think #5 is Duckweed; Duckweeds are usually just a couple leaves floating in the water; this definitely had leaves along long stems and was rooted in the mud on the bank. I think I'm going to have to try harder next year to find some flowers or fruit, if I can find it again at all.

No, I know what Partridgeberry looks like, it's not that. It isn't evergreen, either, it's gone now.

Could #2 be Sedum multiceps?

I asked a friend about the Draba. He believes it is either Draba aizoides or hispanica.

I think the first one, the one growing at the edge of the creek, is a Bacopa. Possibly Bacopa monnieri. It's a plant commonly grown in aquariums (underwater), but it's found in the wild growing on land in boggy areas.

The pics I see of Sedum multiceps don't resemble my yellow flower as much as the Drabas do. A description I found for Draba hispanica mentions silvery hairy leaves and flower stalks, which this certainly has, so maybe it's that. The Philly Flower Show will be on again in a couple weeks, maybe this plant will be exhibited again. I usually take a pictures of the label too, and just delete it after I've labeled the pictures, but I didn't with this one.

As far as the first one being Bacopa, it's possible. There are a couple in Gleason that sound like it, but neither are supposed to be present as far north as NJ. And my photos don't show the other characteristics they use for ID. I'm just going to have to find some more this summer and see if I can't catch it in bloom.

No. 1 is a Water-starwort (Callitriche sp.)

Hmm, that actually looks like a better possibility than Bacopa. It's found in my area, for one thing. And it seemed sort of unlikely that I could have missed Bacopa flowers. Callitriche stagnalis pics look very similar. Thanks.
