New to the forum, be easy on me. I have a well used and well behaved 2 stroke 4.75 HP Lawn Boy Silver series that will not start. Has spark, cleaned exhaust, cleaned carb, new plug, new exhaust baffle plate and cover (old one was cracked and afraid of throwing shrapnel). Compression is 50 psi and is high as it goes. It appears to try to run, but very, very light, but never really runs. What is the compression supposed to be, this seems low to me.
What happened is it ran fine, then just slowed and stopped, like it ran out of gas. Has not run, but once since. That one time it ran really good, now it wont start. Sounds like coil to me, but it has a spark. Tried a little, and a lot of starting fluid. With lot of starting fluid is when it faintly starts. You can tell as it takes longer for it to stop turning over.
Any ideas, did I miss something?
