Old oil issues...

Next month I'll be moving for grad school. While looking for work, I noticed a lot of ads looking for part time lawn care help, groundskeeping, etc. I have about six years of experience with that, so I'm considering working on my own next summer. To that effect, my dad is giving me his old rototiller.

I know that the recoil start rope is broken, and I'll have to replace it... pain in the a$$, but okay. The problem lies in the fact that I don't think it's been started for a good 8-10 years. I'd imagine it would partially drain, but leave a fair amount of nasty sludge in the crankcase. Is there any slick trick to remove the sludge? Thanks for the help in advance!
