Mower for Zoysia Jamur yard

I have a large (1/3 acre)well established lawn of Zoysia Jamur grass that was sodded in. very little fill dirt was brought in over the limestone rock bed that we live on prior to laying the sod. The Zoysia has done well (irrigated) and is the subject of many compliments in a neighborhood surrounded by bermuda lawns.

I have been mowing the entire yard (one acre) with a JD rotary mower lawn tractor (12Hp). I normally cut the height down to 2.5 inches at the start of the mowing season then increase it to 3.5 by mid season.

I would like to see if I can improve the appearance/health of the 1/3 that is in Zoysia by mowing this with a reel type mower.

My questions are:

Should I even consider this change, because from what I am seeing a reel mower means lower cutting heights. Will this be to much stress on the grass?

What are the best heights for the Zosysia Jamur grass Rotary and Reel mowing?

Should I go to smaller gang type reel mower or is 1/3 acre

too much to mow with a power walking reel mower (I'm not into extended yard work in our Texas heat)?

Thanks You for your comments and thoughts.
