cub cadet fuses blowing on LT1527 and engine winding to high spee

I have a problem that developed a couple of weeks ago and had been waiting for part to come in to fix initial problem the Fan on top of motor which exploded into pieces after motor wound up to high speed. Part came in replaced with no difficulty but now it is blowing the 15 Amp fuse near the stearing collumn and the motor in winding up to high speed and seems to be blowing the fuse everytime. Also there is now gas leaking from above the fuel filter which could be from to much pressure caused by the high reving. Any ideas on what to check in the electrical/starting system? Need help in looking at the correct things.

You had better check the setting of the throttle control cable and handle on the dash-board. It might have gotten disconnected, at the carburetor. and the throttle handle moves, but doesn't change the position of the cable. Or the throttle control on the carburetor. Sound like you need professional help. It is far cheaper than an engine that goes:"BANG"! At that point, your main revving problem will be solved. Also solved will be the fact that you needed professional help, but didn't want to pay the price!

What engine make and model? The high rev- can you manually slow it down by holding the throttle shaft? If you are unsure take it in- Rusty has a good point.
