As you saw with your 14SB, an aluminum deck will last a long time without corroding. For folks who appreciate durability, that alone is reason enough to choose an aluminum deck over a steel one. As for the choice between the Lawn-Boy 10795 and the Toro 20192, that boils down to which one you can get the best deal on---other than their color and brand name, these two mowers are identical. They are among the best walk behind mowers on the market today, which makes them a logical replacement for your 14SB, which was one of the best mowers on the market when it was new. Personally, from what little I've seen of the 10795/20192, I like the design of their bagging system because it eliminates having to hold open a spring-loaded door with one hand while removing or re-installing the bag with the other hand. This, along with their relatively light weight (especially compared to your 14SB), would make either one of them a great choice. Hope this helps.

Stephen, I had the exact same problem with a Honda HRT 216 mower; I was able to continue to use the machine for a while by leaving the choke partially closed. Eventually it would die anytime the drive was engaged. I tried several of the same things you did; nothing worked. Taking the advice that has been posted here more than once, I ordered a complete carb assembly along with new gaskets and a new spark plug from Plano Power Parts. The carb cost only $15 for my model engine, so the cost was minimal. That did the trick. The mower started on the first pull and runs fine now, although it seems to run much faster with the throttle wide open than it did before. Perhaps the jet in the replacement carb is a little larger. I just use it with the throttle cut back. No more surging, missing, or dying. Plano Power Parts has the best parts search system for Honda mowers and engines that I've seen on the web. There seem to be hundreds of Honda engine codes and serial number ranges, and they are different depending on the brand of the equipment the engine is mounted on. The carb gaskets may be the key; there were four of them on my engine along with a plastic insulator and a metal shield. It's a bear to get them all aligned properly when installing the new carb. If your machine is an electric start model, and has a battery, and if it is 3 years old---it needs a new battery! Those batteries, if used a lot, or twice a week, will not last very long, compared to a battery in your car or truck! I am assuming this machine is a walk-behind lawn mower, as stated. If it is a lawn tractor, the statement above holds true for it, too. Those small batteries, which are used for starting a lot more than the one in your car or truck,usually don't hold up well after two years.
