Well, my first thought was to roll them around the outside of votive holders, so when the light shines through you'd see more of the wood grain.
However, from the look of it, you've got more than you'd ever need for that.
I can see strips of it, in different colors, covering the outside of a glass hurricane shade.
I've never tried it myself, but I've seen wood veneer turned into pretty lampshades.

If you are into fairy houses, they would make some very pretty roof shingles.

I'd glue pieces to a styrofoam ball, they'd make very natural looking christmas ornaments.
Or you could cut them into strips and make them into a ball. Sort of similar to the balls people make with barrel rings, only smaller.

That's all I can think of now. Good luck with whatever you decide.

There was a post over on the trash to treasure site about a month or so ago that was about making book marks, etc. They would make good book marks I think. You could cut them into strips or squares and decorate with ribbon, cording, etc. Let us see what you come up with....

I've never worked with "veneer" before ... but could you make some of those awesome beads with it? You know, the ones cut in l/2" strips and about 6" long cut in tapered shape (triangular-like) ... and wind them up tight on a toothpick & then glue?? Ever seen those? They make awesome looking beads...I've done this project with kids. And, of course, beads can be used in many GJer projects! Jeanne S.

Thank you all for your time and ideas. Dcarch the marquetry is beautiful. Not sure if its within my abilities though. I'll try something small. I've seen beads like that Jeannespines but I think the veneers would break if rolled that small. But I'll experiment, it would look great if it works.
Maybe what I should do is offer some of these things to someone who does marquetry. They are samples that were left in an office at the building that I manage after the bank took over the company that leased from us.

leveta - You can see some paper beads at this site...they're very expensive! They're easy to make though...just google rolled paper beads and you'll find some instructions...the kids I crafted these with turned out really cute! Jeanne S.

Wow the beads on that site are quite expensive. They are very attractive tho. I wonder if they get the price, $1 each.
I want to make some even if it doesn't work with my veneer.
