I paid three dollars for a bottle. It seems high but it is cheaper then the wine bottles and at least you do get something to drink inside(-:

The only blue bottles I've seen around here are SKYE VODKA. They are big pint bottles and so pretty. Need to find someone who drinks it............ LOL

I asked everyone I knew if they drank that vodka too but no one did. Its pretty expensive too but the bottles are so pretty. I did happen to get two of those bottles from my co worker. She got them from her daughters friend. So everyone knew I was saving them to make a tree. LOL

These are the blue bottles I get from World Market. So check any local import stores like that to see if they carry. I got one red (still water) and be aware that they are painted and if you soak, paint will come off. Some found that out by accident. I was just wipeing off and saw at the mouth of the bottle it was peeling.

The big bottles are $2.99 and smaller ones are $1.99. I also found the plastic ones there before I found the glass ones. Priced a bit less.

I need to go up tomorrow and see my recycle guy-he is saving some blue bottles for me. I said do you get many blue bottles. He said yes why. I said I was saving some for a blue bottle tree. He has saved some but after vacation I was not feeling good and forgot it. He just put them back in stock. Will let you know which ones I get in a few days.

And I agree...had rather buy empty but if I can not, get something you like inside. In fact I have grown fond of the sparkling water or some of the mineral water. So ordering them is about the same as buying at store. There are a couple of places that cell the blue bottles by the case and they are reasonable. Just search wine bottles.

Hi, Recently, there was a full dumpster of blue bottles at my recycler. When I'm ready to build a bottle tree, I'll just ask them to put aside whatever color for me. Ask at restaurants and bars that have color bottles. Some are glad to save them, some can't be bothered. Tell everyone you know what you're looking for and ask at every yard sale you visit. I find lots of stuff that way. Never hurts to ask. Linda

If you have a Trader Joe's near you, they sell Blue Italy water in large blue bottles. It is sparkling water, in regular, lemon or lime flavors and they are only $1.15 each, sometimes on sale for $.99. The bonus is they are good! My husband does not like the look of bottle trees, or I would have one. We drink the water for the taste and my fahter is making some patio lights out of the bottles for his house.

I have plenty of blue, green and amber bottles. Just no red ones. I have had my eye on every drink there is, but none in red bottles. So thank you very much Beth. I just ordered the red and burgandy ones. So what if they are empty at least this way I will get the ones I want. Thanks again to everyone for their help. I just love this forum.
