Hello Gentlemen! My mom and dad bought a Craftsman LT2000 riding lawn mower around 2009/2010. The mower looks great! However, it won't start. I'm assuming it needs a new battery. My mom wants to sell it but we have no idea how much we should sell it for. I'm not finding anything online and I don't know anyone with lawn mower knowledge. What price would you suggest for a great looking older mower that doesn't run? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

These type of things vary greatly by location. I could see that listed between $400 and $800 by me. I think your best reference is to look of the Craigslist farm and garden section. You may do better selling the sweeper separately and also by selling it pre or early season rather than the end of the season if time allows. The rider was actually built by Husqvarna for Sears which may be worth mentioning in the ad. You could probably decipher the julian date from the chassis serial number from below the seat or the first two numbers from the engine code number will indicate when the engine was made. That number is stamped on the very top of one of the shiny metal valve covers at the front of the engine.
