I'm new to getting things decorated in the gardens but am fast finishing planting and just about ready to get going on some decor..

1st thought on 2nd 1 is "where is the cake knife, I want a piece!!Center does look like it could be a woman too. Make her a Victorian woman! The lighthouse is really beautiful with all those rounds of crystal & white around the blue vase. So neat that it will actually light up! Nice work! Jan

Love, love love your "glass sculptures" :) I personally wouldn't tell people how you make them in the handout. Although, I think it's a great idea to include care instructions. Your kittos are so cute, your Cookie looks just like my Matt Dillon, and Yankee resembles my Miss Kitty. Good luck on your sales, I think you'll do great! Is it an auction? If you are setting prices, could you give us an idea of what you're asking? I have a sale coming up in october, which is, I'm afraid a little late in the season for totem sales. Mine range in price from 9-15, with most of them being 12.00. I don't have any on poles, mine all set on the ground. Again, thanks for sharing all of your wonderful pictures! gail

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. Yes we are both quite excited. We will put the binding on this evening and she will be able to take it with her on a family trip and quilt the two middle blocks in a hoop and stitch the binding to the back. We have hand stitched on all the outer blocks while it was in the frame then she stitched in the ditch on either side of the sashing by machine. She is quite a trooper! Sharon, this is an honors English class. They are supposed to chose something to learn to do that challenges them. They are to find someone who does it to teach them and they have to do research and write a paper. Then they have to present their paper and show the results of the project. It is a big project and all honors English students have been doing this at our local school for many years. Her brother who graduated last year learned to do taxidermy and stuffed a squirrel. The son of the lady who cuts my hair is making a computer from components-I hear he is almost finished. It seems strange for English but is a tradition for this school. It is neat to have been part of it. Yes,Beverly, it is fun to teach a young person an old skill. Thanks again, Sally

This morning when my neighbor went to exercise class I snuck the totem into her garden.
I'm originally from west Mi too, & I went to visit Mayme a few yrs . We could do a ton of damage junking together!!We had a great time.
I was home in May to see my Dad, he has alzheimers & is in a care facility near Grand Rapids. I may try to come again in sept or oct. My husband's sister & brother in law live in Holland. Jill
