Went GSing today and found some good stuff. The white globe will be a gazing ball. The vase with scalloped bowl a mushroom. This I will just change the vase, the bowl as is. The red candle holder will go with rose dish for a totem for sister at Xmas. The kitty is for my GD's garden. The lantern will hang in someones garden. LOL The rest will unfold.

Really like that lantern, and what a cute kitty for your GD's garden! Looks like a pile of goodies in that second photo...have fun and enjoy your 'finds'.

I made a quick run in GW and got one thing for the yard, or rather patio. A wood chair that I think I'll put a plant on. Tho if anyone has ideas, please share!! There were about 20 or more of these chairs, they look hand-crafted, and were $4 each. If I could have thought what to do with them, I'd have gotten a couple. But I just bought one, and will most likely regret not getting more.

OK, I finally got it painted white!! I still need to fill in some of the holes & the ends, but for the most part, it's done & I love how it looks. It most likely won't be long before it starts rusting through too...LOL! I used at least a dozen $1 cans from Dollar General to paint this bad boy! I have to say that they only contain 9 oz. of paint compared to other brands & the spray nozzles will make a sore finger in short order. This was easy to put together, once we decided how far the top door would overhang the side ones, he just lined up the holes of the brackets to the door, pre-drilled & then screwed them in with the existing screws from the door. This was definitely a low budge operation! LOL! In case you can see, I switched out the larger metal flowers I had on the barn door fence for some maple leafs that are made out of twigs! I just HAD to have them & bought them at the local Blueberry Festival this past weekend. I mention them because someone on here might be motivated enough to try to make them. TFL!!

GS finds last weekend and washer

My daughter found the cutest green washer....(Martha Stewart green with tiny white flecks all over.) It had a tub and a spinner tub attached. She bought it at a garage sale while they were here visiting. They lived in Minn. at the time. She left it here for several months. During that time we had water in the basement and I needed to wash...I plugged that old thing in and by golly it worked. It leaked ....but it was out on the covered porch...so I didn't care. It spun those cloths out so dry it didn't take them long to get completely dry. I just fell in love with it. She finally came and took it "home" with her... Then a few years ago she moved back and LEFT that little machine in her back yard. I would love to have had it. I could have strangled her for doing that. Arrrgggg. If I ever see another as cute I'm dragging it home...even if I have to tow it with my bicycle...LOL patti

Kathy, you came home with a great haul! Love the kitty for your GD's garden. I can't wait to see what you do with the rest. Oh, and I am partial to the miniature chairs. Love the little one you got!

Karen, I love when people paint chairs like that in wild colors and patterns for the garden. It would be cool mosaicked too.

I can't wait to see what you both do with your finds!

Karen, What a great price for your wonderful chair! I'm not sure if I would paint it or leave it plain.... Might would go get another one so I could have one as is and one painted!!!

Good finds, Kathi! Red is always hard to find around here. I too love the little chair and the lantern.

Karen, what a great deal on that chair. I vote for pretty colors all over it and a nice trailing plant sitting on there!

Bright, I should see if they still more. I love the idea of painting one in bright colors, but the wood grain on this one I picked out is so pretty that I hate painting it. I KNEW I was going to regret getting just one! Dang it. I'll go back Tues. and hope no one bought the lot of them.
