Yard Sale Finds Today !!!!!! pix.....

I had a great day. Check it out. The blue box he wanted 5 for yesterday, got it for a dollar today. It is good and sturdy.

Old cast iron pot has a crack but is deep and would make a cool planter as is.

The wire racks are awesome! Dont know what they are, but maybe I will hang them somewhere for small plants to put on?The old rusty lantern also I may use to hang a plant from > Love it just the way it is.

The chairs I am going to paint in some bright color, maybe a purple for one and a yellow for the other.

And the brass sun looking thing, I think I will paint yellow and hang on my shed.

I am so happy with all my finds, I even drug DH with me and he actually got into it. "Ooh, look, there's another yardsale" he would say!!

Great stuff I havent unloaded my stuff yet ,got lots of great books though.I like the crate and the coggy sun looking thing best!

Looks like a minnow bucket & coal carrier. I have some of those urn looking plastic planters. They last pretty well, I've had them 3-4 years & haven't broken or cracked yet, would last better painted tho. Mine are white. They had green & color you have also at the 99 cent store. Didn't see them this year. Love your long 1/2 barrel thing too at back of pic. Wipe the metal down with alcohol before you paint it & try not to touch it except on handles so when it is dry from alcohol, it will keep paint on. Jan

I sat pretty quietly because I had received the BEST gift of all from MY hubby...a belt sander! I don't think those ladies would have understood! janetga--I LOVE your pink cabinet! I power washed mine today and started spraying it a light green. Funny how a new color changes the look of the cabinet, isn't it? imjustsam -- Lowes has a magazine out this month $2.95 where they show a screen that has had moss attached and sedums tied to the wire. You might want to look at the magazine at Lowe's. After you attach the plants, you leave it laying flat until the roots attach to the moss and wire, then stand it upright.

I have to admit, our yard sales have been a bit off this year, some subdivisions that usually have the whole subdivision did not even have them this year, but this is always a good one where I got all these things. Actually got most of it at one sale! You ladies would have gone wild, her whole driveway was tables & tables of fall & xmas decor!!! The rooster charges are a three different roosters, not all the same. I'm hoping there will still be some more good ones, I feel like I've made a huge dent in my tablescaping hobby, but wouldn't mind finding more! LOL (greedy)!!!!

Both DD's and Drew and I were out shopping the city wides today. DD got a couple of the UnderArmour shirts for Hunter for $3 each. Just like new, they are $30 a piece she said! She got a like new pair of skater jeans for Hunter for another $3, still look as dark as the day they were bought home from the store. Drew got some toys and Minnesota Twins cap and a new John Deere long sleeved shirt. Madison and I went later in the morning once she came up, she found a cute red and black jumper with red turtle neck shirt for $5, two pair of boots for $4 each, a pair of hot pink sequinned tennie's for a buck and a new book, oh a pink Minnesota Twin's hoodie too. I found 2 square tray type pictures from At Home America, both coffee themed and I have coffee things in my kitchen and dining room they were $1 each so I was happy. I love going to sales, sometimes I hit it big and sometimes not. Today wasn't one of the better days...but we had fun.

The wire rack is actually 2 pieces, each half-circle shape. So I can hang them flat on a wall or on a counter-top even, for a large spice rack! And it is heavy duty metal, not flimsy. I hope someone comes along who knows what they are.

What wonderful finds! Is that free piece in the middle a rotary hoe? My in-laws bought several at an antique tractor show and paid $10 each. If that is what it is, you got a deal! She painted hers to look like sunflowers. Will try to get a picture for you. You found some super stuff!

Great finds! I'm very jealous, especially of the thing that looks like a rotary hoe. I'm still looking for one at a good price. I like the wire shelves. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

Wow I have no idea what that rack is, but you sure got some goodies! I bet it'd make a perfect spice rack. Or look really nice on the side of the house with some potted flowers trailing out of it. I love the blue box, wish I had one just like it:) You did good:)

The lantern would look great with a pot of ivy growing inside trained to drape out the front and sides. Great finds.

You got a lot of wonderful things. And how amazing to get your DH involved. They'd have to plunk a yard sale right in the middle of a golf course to get mine to one....then they better run like H--- for doing it. LOL.

DH says the free piece is an "impeller from the flow meter of an industrial fire sprinkler system" I love it...and I like the idea of painting it like a sumflower....I am just getting unpacked and need to go dig through my paints. I will post a pix when I get it painted...cant wait!

You got some pretty cool stuff!! My DH would be ga-ga over that lantern, for sure! Great idea for the cast iron pot too! It's enough to get a person addicted, isn't it? My DH is starting to get the hang of it now, as well. Sometimes he gives me that "you're crazy, woman" look until I show him pictures of what people have made. THEN, he's right in there with me. I love seeing other people's finds!
