Where to get Lawnboy parts (online)

Hey everybody, I'm wondering if there is a good source for lawnboy parts at an online store besides ebay.

I purchase parts from Zacm.com and get poor customer service and slow delivery. I've heard RCPW is popular but is the service and order speed up to par?

Maybe someone else has a parts source I'm not aware of that is reputable. Please let me know because Zacm has lost my business.

Stens has a limited number of LB parts. Their response/shipping is excellent, usually the next day, and they are good to deal with. You will need a dealer or tax exempt number to get the best price although they did sell retail also but I haven't checked that out lately.

They are online and have an 800 number.

i recommend rcpw. very fast and have the best stock period!if they dont have it-you cant get it.shipping is pricey though

Well I found some cable the same size as the cable used for the cable drive system. I have not put it on yet and will have to use some cable clamps on the ends. As for the rear wheels, I assume the rubber is worn out/off? If so, as I recall, new wheels cost about $35 ea!! I think if you look, you will see about 4 rivets that hold the gear to the plastic wheel. Drill those out, remove the gear and use small bolts to attach the gear to regular $7 wheels as used in this series non self-propelled mowers. Mowers can be shipped and I believe it costs $75.00 to $100.00 to do so. What you should do is research Ebay for closed sales of that model in comparable condition to see what you might net from a sale. Also consider an ad in Craigslist. There is some collector interest in lawnboy 2 stroke mowers, but the prices seem to vary widely by model and condition plays a big part too. Hopefully someone with knowlege about which models are collectible will chime in.

please contact me at anything042000 @ yahoo . com reguarding what nos parts you have, im mostly intrested in parts for the c, d400 and d600 engines or mower parts from 1956-1980 as i have many of those mowers and want to build a collection of nos parts. I dont have any early lawn boy mowers with the power products engines in my collection yet.

LightingUniverse.com and BuildersDepot.com have been a complete nightmare for me! I ordered lighting from lighting universe and it arrived with parts missing - it obviously was a return as I actually found the nasty note the lady who recieved it before enclosed when she sent it back. I called customer service and they were very nice and said they would send the missing parts. A month and several phone and emails later and I still do not have the parts. I am now in contact with American Express (card I used to purchase with) and they are disputing the charge and getting my money refunded. I also ordered a light from Builders Depot - it was packaged VERY poorly and arrived damaged but my husband fixed it because it was not worth the hassle and expense to ship it back. I did get some beautiful lighting from Pottery Barn and it arrived perfectly and their customer service is top notch - but you will not get any bargains here. I ended up going to my local lighting store and ordering Golden Lighting - I mentioned the prices on the internet and they beat them all and threw in free light bulbs! I couldn't be more pleased. Might as well start at your local lighting store and give them a chance to match or beat prices - it can't hurt to ask! Your local stores are hurting right now and making some fantastic deals - not to mention not having to worry about returning stuff you bought online.

You need to watch when ordering Lawnboy parts from RCPW. For you may place an order with them only to find out that they do not have the part and cant tell you when they will get it.

It has been several years since I have ordered anything Lawnboy from them, but I have ordered LB stuff from Sears parts (http://www3.sears.com) in the past.

Enter the LB part number and change the "IN" field from Models to Parts.

Thanks everyone, I'll check into these next time I order something. I usually order the general seals, reed valves, gaskets, and etc for carbs but its nice to have a reliable supplier.

Well I just scanned a couple of the sites mentioned above and found prices to be horrific without shipping. Doubt very much if Sears has much in the Lawn Boy line based on past experience. Stens is your best bet for inventory, service, speed in shipping, price.

Walt,thats right, the prices are outrageous and shipping is just too damn much anymore for lawnboy parts.
I guess these mowers are a dying breed so we need to take care of the ones we've got because they are not going to come back. I've accepted the fact that two-stroke technology is a thing of the past but its hard to give up on something you love. I guess thats why I and alot of other lawnboy lovers will not give up on these simple yet complicated pieces of nostalgia.
Anyhow, I will keep up my search.

In regards to RCPW or some of the other large parts suppliers; "if they don't have it-you can't get it " Not necessarily true. I have learned that whenever a part is listed as NLA, that IS NOT the end of the line. There are still a lot of NOS LawnBoy Parts out there, all you need to do is a little searching and have a little patience. It's amazing what you can find, if only you you make your needs known.
