The only time I ever saw "Engine lube oil" actually packaged that way was back in the 1970s when I worked for International Harvester. IHC always had their own branded "motor oil" (and other lubricants and antifreeze). In 1975, IHC "reworked and revamped" their "house brand" engine lube oil family to the "low ash" formula that was purported to help gasoline engines meet the ever more stringent EPA emissions standards. IHC discontinued using "paper with metal end" quart and gallon containers. The new "Engine Lube Oil" was packed in all metal (steel) quart and gallon "cans", and for the first time ever, IHC offered a "five gallon can" of oil. Oh, while IHC was making an attempt to be "PC" about "engine oil", The company division I was affiliated with was known as "International Harvester, MOTOR Truck Division". Go figure!

Gosh, Katkin, I sure didn't mean that you shouldn't protect your dog or your property, so I hope I didn't sound like that. I try to live and let live with whatever wanders through my yard, but if my pets are in danger, or my grandbaby, you can bet I'd take action. And I'd try to find a way to keep my plants from being decimated, too. As I mentioned above, it is always possible that the bobcats are having trouble finding enough prey in their territory, and you are certainly right to chase them off and be watchful of your "baby." My comments on building on barrier islands are just my opinion about something that is already pretty much a done deal. I think it's wrong to use those shifting islands for homes, but the horse is pretty much out of the barn in that regard. So now it is a situation of how best to protect what wildlife and natural lands we have left, while learning to live side by side with animals that have nowhere else to go. I am not an expert by any means, but the measurements are a bit off (like about 1/4 inch or more), since the leading toe appears to have slid in the mud. The shape of the print itself resembles more of a canine than a feline because of the lack of a third lobe on the heel pad, the pointed toe pads, and what looks like the possibility of a claw mark on the tip of the far right toe depression. The overall shape and size of the print would lend itself to a red fox if I had to make an educated guess.

cattyles, I just came back to this to post your exact same question. I just can't watch animal flicks without blubbering - even if they aren't actually sad, the sentimentality does me in. Lots of anthropomorphizing going on in my head. But based on the recommendations here, I'll give it a whirl. Even though my first cat was a ginger cat (my parents' cat when I was born) and he hated that I displaced him as the only child in the family. When I started walking and my mom caught him hissing and swatting at me (not in a playful way) and had to rehome him (at least that's what I hope she did); so my association with ginger cats is not all that positive.
